Love is all you need?

Below is a great story I came across today while blog surfing. I think the Beatles were right when the sang "Love is All You Need". Think about it, what would all the wealth and success in the world mean without any love? ...... Enjoy,

Terry

This could happen to anyone, including You! What I’m about to tell you will shock you. The key though I am sharing is the potential for you creating an abundance of money and being blessed with love and success.Listen carefully: A woman living in downtown Ontario, Canada came out of her house and saw 3 old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them. She said “I don’t think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat.”“Is the man of the house home?” they asked.“No”, she replied. “He’s out.”“Then we cannot come in”, they replied. In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened.“Go tell them I am home and invite them in!”The woman went out and invited the men in.“We do not go into a house together,” they replied.“Why is that?” she asked. One of the old men explained: “His name is Wealth,” he said pointing to one of his friends, and said pointing to another one, “He is Success, and I am Love.” Then he added, “Now go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home.”The woman went in and told her husband what was said. Her husband was overjoyed. “How nice!!” he said. “Since that’s the case, let’s invite Wealth. Let him come and fill our home with wealth!”His wife disagreed. “My dear, why don’t we invite Success?”Their daughter was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in with her own suggestion: “Would it not be better to invite Love? Our home will then be filled with love!”“Let us heed our daughter’s advice,” said the husband to his wife.“Go out and invite Love to be our guest.”The woman went out and asked the 3 old men, “Which one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest.”Love got up and started walking toward the house. The other 2 also got up and followed him. Surprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success: “I only invited Love, why are you coming in?”The old men replied together: “If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us would’ve stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever he goes, we go with him. Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth and Success!”I heard that story from an amazing mentor and friend of mine, Bob Proctor. He went on and told me this: “Most people don’t have wealth or success in their lives and that’s probably because they don’t know how to love. Whether you want just wealth, success or love in your life… I can help you achieve it.”

Disc Golf Keeps the Bear at Bay

I was one that was always up for a round of golf whenever the opportunity presented itself. Getting out on a beautiful day, in beautiful scenery, birds chirping and all, but I guess you could say I never quite got the hang of the links. I am a frustrated hacker. More than a frustrated hacker, I'm the guy you see out there throwing his ball, or worse yet his club into the water with a hostile shout. I am a real bear out there. As much as I look forward to getting out there, I look forward to the round ending even more.

Now philosophically I have always told myself if something gives me frustration, get out of the situation. Life is too short to get this angry, but I have never found anything to replace my urge to golf, until last summer.

My wife and I love hiking, as you probably saw in one of my previous blogs, and last June or July, somewhere in that area, we were on one of our long hikes on a local trail in the Green Bay area, when we happened upon a park with a big sign in front that read "Disc Golf Course". Now I have to admit I had heard of Disc Golf, but I never had given it much thought until we happened on the course that day.

We decided to walk around the course and we watched the Disc golfers and it brought back memories of when I was a kid making up games with the Frisbee. I was intrigued. So much so that we bought a set of discs used specifically for disc golf. The set came with a bag, a towel, a DVD to explain the game and 3 discs. I was ready to go.

After study the DVD a few days after our discovery we ventured out into the world of Disc Golf. I honestly admit I felt a little silly at first, but once I got the hang of it somewhat, I really started to enjoy myself, and as in regular golf, I was also enjoying being in nature. It was fun, and I wasn't frustrated after the game. Not to say that it doesn't come without its own challenges, because belief me some of these holes and throws you have to make are very challenging, but it doesn't come with the one thing that golf had for me. Yeah, the seething anger, and the bear in me.

Now since last summer we have discovered a few different courses and it is still fun, it is free to play in most places, and you usually don't have to wait to get on the course. The only thing missing from regular golf that I truly enjoy is the clubhouse after the game, but hey you can bring your own cocktails.

If anyone is interested as to where they can find more info on Disc golf, courses in your area, and Disc golf accessories, here are a couple of links for you to check out. http://www.discgolfstore.com/courses/usa.shtml http://www.discgolfdirectory.com/ Get out enjoy yourself, you can't beat the price, the fun and you will keep the bear away. Yours always,

Terry

Abundance and Right Livelihood

When I got into network marketing in the late 90's, the team I was on really believed and stressed that you had to initiate a personal development program of at least 30-60 minutes per day to become the type of person it takes to be successful in business.

I didn't have any problem with this since well before I ever found network marketing I read self help books to overcome lack of self confidence. So I started listening to the tapes and reading the recommended books and did find it making a difference in my life, and in my business and I am always one that whole heatedly promotes personal development to everyone I know and meet, but it was a book that I found on my own that wasn't on the recommended reading list that had perhaps the biggest impact on me and that was "Abundance and Right Livelihood" by Neal Donald Walsch of "Conversations with God fame".

As sort of a guy that feels he has to do this and do that and work harder and harder, I realized as Neal describes in this book, that all I was getting was a big pile of "do do". Have you ever wondered why there are two like businesses on the same street that sell the same product, do the same thing, but one is thriving and one isn't? It is all about what you are "being", as opposed to what you are "doing".

This book taught be to be more, no matter what I was doing in my life. If I wanted more success in my business, I had to help some else achieve more success, if I wanted more love in my life, I had to give more love in my life. This just made more sense to me than any other thing I had read and made a much deeper impact than anything I had ever heard or read and I also found it much easier to implement.

I am not downplaying the impact the of all the recommended personal development books I read, and I am sure one book hits each individual a different way, but I highly recommend "Abundance and Right Livelihood" to anyone looking to achieve more in their lives. Neale Donald Walsch's personality and sense of humor make this a very easy read and it's only 130 pages long.

This indeed in my opinion a true application for living. Check it out, you won't regret it. To your success,

Terry
